OAKtoberfest!

Celebrate Illinois oaks! Learn about these stately trees while enjoying family-friendly activities such as writing a love letter to a tree, taking a guided nature walk, attempting an acorn obstacle course, playing leaf bingo, working on a tree art project, and music by School of Rock. Attendees will also receive free oak saplings (while supplies last) and have a chance to try out platform tennis (first come, first served; equipment and brief instruction included). “Oaktoberfest” beer from Two Hound Red and food at Holes & Knolls will be available for purchase.

Adam Kreuzer will be hosting a booth for the International Dark-Sky Association.

Local sustainably-minded organizations and small businesses will also be on-hand including the Conservation Foundation, Glen Ellyn Environmental Commission, League of Women Voters, East Branch of the DuPage River Trail, À La Main, and Prairie Food Co-op.
