OAKtoberfest: Visit Dark Sky's Booth

  • Maryknoll Park 845 Pershing Avenue Glen Ellyn, IL, 60137 United States (map)

Visit DarkSky Chicago’s booth at OAKtoberfest in Glen Ellyn.

Come learn more from Adam Kreuzer, a Glen Ellyn resident and DarkSky Chicago delegate, about how to save the night sky, even while living in suburbia.

Other booths and displays celebrate Illinois oaks. Enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities. Take part in a guided nature walk, try your hand at acorn toss, and unleash your creativity with a tree art project. Enjoy live performances by School of Rock and Anima - Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus, and meet local environmentally-conscious organizations and small businesses. Additionally, Two Hound Red’s “OAKtoberfest” beer and a selection of wines from kō-zē wine room will be available for purchase. For those interested, there will be an opportunity to play platform tennis on a first-come, first-served basis, with equipment and brief instruction provided.
