At every moment, half the Earth is in the dark. 70% of mammals are nocturnal, humans are not one of them - we all need the dark for our well-being. Come join the conversation about how light pollution affects ecology, the environment, and ourselves. Discover the wonder and awe of the world at night and learn how you can get involved in protecting it - from being a community science volunteer to bringing positive change to your own community.

Learn about local partnerships engaged in this effort through the International Dark-sky Association, Adler Planetarium, and the Forest Preserves of Cook County.

Speakers:

Ken Walczak International DarkSky Association, Adler Planetarium

Mary Busch Forest Preserves of Cook County
